Wiktionary
BIS, noun. Plural of bi
BIS, adverb. Twice; showing that something is, or is to be, repeated, such as a passage of music, or an item in accounts.
BIS KEY, noun. (music) A key using alternative fingerings for certain notes on woodwind instruments. Specifically, a key that is located between the first and second keys operated by the left hand on a saxophone. Pressing LH1 and the bis key simultaneously results in the sounding of a Bb. This is especially useful when playing in keys with many flats.
Wise words
Life has no meaning unless one lives it with a will, at
least to the limit of one's will. Virtue, good, evil are
nothing but words, unless one takes them apart in order to
build something with them; they do not win their true
meaning until one knows how to apply them.
